Short version: I collect only what I need, I don't sell your data, and I delete your photos when I'm done.

What I Collect

When You Order a Portrait

  • Your photo(s): The images you submit for portrait creation.
  • Email address: To send previews and communicate about your order.
  • Shipping address: To deliver your physical print.
  • Payment info: Processed by Stripe—I never see your card number.
  • Order preferences: Style, size, special requests.

When You Visit the Website

  • Basic analytics: Page views, referrer, general location (country level). No tracking cookies.
  • Technical info: Browser type, device type—used to ensure the site works correctly.

How I Use Your Information

  • Photos: Solely to create your portrait. Nothing else.
  • Email: To send your preview, order updates, and shipping notifications.
  • Address: To ship your order. That's it.
  • Analytics: To understand what pages people visit and improve the site.

What I DON'T Do

  • ❌ Sell your data to anyone
  • ❌ Use your photos to train AI models
  • ❌ Share your email with marketers
  • ❌ Track you across the internet
  • ❌ Send unsolicited marketing emails

Photo Handling

Your photos deserve extra attention, so here's exactly what happens:

During Your Order

  1. You submit a photo via email or form.
  2. I store it temporarily to create your portrait.
  3. The photo may be processed through AI services (Google's Gemini) to generate artwork.
  4. I keep the photo until you've approved and received your order.

After Your Order

  • Original photos: Deleted within 30 days of order completion.
  • Generated artwork: May be retained for portfolio/samples unless you opt out.

To Opt Out of Portfolio Use

Just mention it when you order or email me at any time. I'll ensure your portrait isn't used in any samples or marketing. No questions asked.

Each of these only receives the minimum information necessary to perform their function.

Data Security

  • All data transfers use HTTPS encryption.
  • Photos are stored in secure cloud storage.
  • Payment data is handled by Stripe's PCI-compliant systems.
  • I don't store passwords (I don't have user accounts).

Your Rights

You can:

  • Request your data: Email me and I'll tell you what I have.
  • Request deletion: I'll delete everything I have on you.
  • Opt out of portfolio use: Just ask.
  • Unsubscribe: Any marketing emails (rare) will have an unsubscribe link.

Children's Privacy

I don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. Portrait orders should be placed by adults. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact me.

Changes to This Policy

I'll update this page if my practices change. Significant changes will be noted at the top.
